My latest commission was for Mark Zonda’s side project “Zondini” sung purely in Italian, this new album is called ”Sole, Tele, Cereali Svedesi” that is “Sun, Telly and Swedish Cereals”.
So to try and capture all of these I went for a composition based on the film Flakes which is all about a cereal selling cafe. I’ve also gone for a different style for a change. The majority of my illustration work on here is very carefully inked. I create a rough sketch and then later ink it to get the effect I’m after. However the preliminary sketch I sent to Mark was loved so much that I developed it in this style. I draw freehand, no tracing! So really, this style suits me best. The only tracing I ever do with my lightbox is that of my own work to make alterations later. Anyway I can do this, line work, or block colour work really!
